The Sky+ app for Android has just received an important update. You can now use your phone as a remote control for your Sky+ box!

Android users can now change channels, pause, record and rewind all from their smartphones’ touch screen. This is very useful for those lazy days when the remote is 3 feet away, but your phone is right next to you.

The iOS Sky+ app has had these features for a while and it was only a matter of time before Android got them too. The only caveat is that your devices must be running at least Android version 2.2 (aka Froyo). That’s no biggie as most Android phones released over the past 2-3 years will be compatible.

Are you too lazy to find the remote? Let me know in the comments below.
