In news that has shocked us here in the Pappzd office, and will probably shock most of our readers, a poll taken by leading UK supermarket Tesco has revealed that urban artists are the least listened to artists while driving in the UK.
Price comparison site, Tesco Compare asked their online readers who their favourite artists to listen to while driving were, amassing a total of 30,000 results, none of which were distinctly urban apart from Adele.
We couldn’t help but notice that key urban acts who had some big hits over the last year were absent from this list, which seems to be composed of mostly rock and indie artists:
- Take That
- The Beatles
- Meat Loaf
- Bon Jovi
We think that most of the artists listed would not be on any mix CDs or playlists in a majority of our readers’ cars whilst driving, so we’ve decided to compose our own list, that we feel may be closer to our readers’ taste.
- Emeli Sande
- Tinie Tempah
- Ed Sheeran
- Jessie Ware
Pappzd feel that our revised list would be something that our readers would prefer to listen to in their cars, but we’d also like you to list your top 10 artists to listen to while driving.
So leave your top 10 choices in the comments section and you never know, you might give someone else a great idea for a personalised mixtape, full of different artists for their whip!
