Jamal Edwards, Rita Ora, Ed Sheeran, Krept and Konan, Adam Deacon and Wretch 32 have all joined forces with National Citizen Service’s (NCS) campaign to help 16 and 17-year-olds in the UK build self-belief and confidence.

With each star delivering personal video messages over the next few months, the campaign aims to encourage young teens to believe in themselves enough to make the right decisions in life, helping build life skills and be able to gain jobs in the future.

With Jamal Edwards kicking off the video messages, he said of the scheme:

I think it’s a great initiative and Self Belief is something I have always represented and put out there to all the people who have followed my story so when I heard that NCS was on the cards, as it was something I strongly believe in, I wanted to get involved from the get go.

The three week programme is open to anyone aged 16 or 17 living in the UK, and consists of a 30 hour programme over the school holiday with activities such as canoeing and hiking aiming to build the personal and social skills of young people.
