The first London date of Justin Bieber’s Believe tour kicked off in London last night and while many fans had been anticipating the teen sensation’s arrival to the stage – set for an 8:30pm start – they were left severely disappointed when he arrived two hour late; with many young Beliebers being forced to leave venue early.
Bieber was reportedly booed for an hour before he was supposed to hit the stage and many parents left with heartbroken children after the singer had only performed a few songs, as they feared they would miss the last trains back home.
Ticket prices were said to start at £57.65 and one mother named Sheena Dooner from Great Missenden, described Bieber’s unexplained late appearance as a disgusting way to treat devoted fans:
We spent £68 per ticket plus the cost of trains and over £100 on merchandise and what did we get to to see? Very little. Never again. I think he should give something back to his fans. A refund is in order, not an apology.
Another parent, Amanda Finestone travelled from Hertfordshire with her nine-year-old daughter Zara and said:
There were children crying, children falling asleep in their seats and even children having to leave before he came on stage.
Before he was set to the stage, Justin had tweeted earlier that he could not wait to hit the stage and see his fans, but clearly he couldn’t get there fast enough:
The 02 arena had issued an apology on behalf of the singer’s late appearance via their Twitter account:
Justin has since apologised via Twitter, whilst also suggesting that he was not as late as the media states:
Will his fans forgive him for this? Knowing them… probably.
