Spotify have revealed the UK’s top 20 most listened to tracks by women in honour of International Women’s Day, which is tomorrow.

It turns out that Rihanna’s hit single Diamonds was the most streamed urban song in the UK, based on Spotify streaming data form the past six months.

Diamonds was placed at number 5 on the chart, making it the highest charting urban song on the chart as Will.i.am and Britney Spear’s collaboration, Scream and Shout occupied the top spot.

Other notable urban acts who secured respectable positions on the Top 20 list, include X Factor winner James Arthur who was number 10 for his cover of Shontelle’s Impossible and Emeli Sande who appeared on the chart twice.

The first was for her duet with Labrinth, Beneath Your Beautiful at number 11 and the other was for Clown which sat at a cool number 13.

Rihanna just keeps on making hits doesn’t she?

And while some have criticized the singer for becoming overexposed recently, I’m sure the executives at her label are laughing their way to the bank

If it isn’t broken, why fix it?
