Junior Nkwelle

The two teenagers who were involved and responsible for the fatal stabbing of 15-year-old Junior Nkwelle have been found as not guilty of murder, but instead have been charged with manslaughter.

The Old Bailey heard that the 14-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy (who was 16 at the time) wanted to teach the boy a lesson after an argument broke out between the girl and Junior.

The girl went to her home to get a knife from her kitchen, later giving it to her boyfriend, who stabbed Junior in the chest with it before running off.

The two teenagers, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will be sentenced for their crime on 5 April.
