It’s been three years since the release of Tinie Tempah’s debut album Disc-Overy and fans have long wondered when he would drop a follow-up.

And now the rapper has confirmed his second album Demonstration will be released in September with a lead single available in May.

Demonstration will serve as the follow-up to Disc-Overy, which has been certified 2x platinum in the UK and the new album will feature a lot of hard and heavy tracks, some of which are produced by Diplo.

Speaking on the direction of the album and some of the songs on the set, Tinie said:

They sound in the vein of the rap stuff I’ve previously produced – hard and heavy and electronic.

In 2011 the rapper had asked music icons Chris Martin and Gary Barlow to feature on the project, but fans will have to wait and see if his dream collaborations actually made the album.
The description of hard and heavy tracks makes me feel like it will be an album full of the electronic-type tracks he’s done lately. I’d be interested to see how this will sit with fans who have followed him since his Wife and Hood Economics days.
Saying that, he has been finding a lot of success with his more commercial songs so if it’s not broken, don’t fix it, right?
