After serving just two years behind bars out of his original eight year sentence for stabbing Professor Green in the neck, Anthony Jones is now a free man! He was convicted of grievous bodily harm with intent in January 2011 for the vicious attack but it seems as though with good behaviour, you can pretty much get away with anything!
Pro Green was left fighting for his life in Cargo nightclub, east London after Jones attacked him with a bottle to the face and neck leaving the rapper to flee the scene soaked in blood while courageously attempting to cover the 15cm wound.
Fearing that he could die, the rapper revealed that he immediately phoned his grandmother and mother to say his goodbyes.
The Read All About It star told Prosecutor Christopher Gillespie at the time…
I was scared having been cut in the neck… I know what happens when people tend to get cut in the neck.
Luck was definitely on his side that night!
It therefore comes as a shock that Anthony Jones, who at the time was a masters business student at London Metropolitan University, has been released early after committing a crime that usually carries the maximum of life imprisonment.
*Raises eyebrows at the criminal justice system*
However, all is not doom and gloom for the rapper as he and his Made In Chelsea fiancé, Millie Mackintosh held an engagement party last night.
What do you think of the drastic reduction of Jones’ original prison sentence?
Is it fair?
