Drum n bass group Rudimental will be performing at a free gig in May in association with the National Citizens Service (NCS). The concert will take place on 4 May at Gorilla in Manchester.

The 1975 and Clean Bandit will also be taking part in the show supporting NCS, an organisation which aims to give 16 to 17-year-olds useful skills in life to help them build confidence and go on to get employment in the future.

Talking to 4Music about the upcoming show, Rudimental said:

We come from a background of, you know, underprivileged kids in East London. Music is like a brilliant way to get young people out of trouble and into something creative, especially in areas that may not have other opportunities. So it’s something that’s really close to us.

The concert will be broadcast on Channel 4 after the event, and tickets are available on the NCS Facebook page.
