Four teenagers involved in the fatal stabbing of 15-year-old teenager Negus McLean have been sentenced to a total of 65 years in prison at the Old Bailey today.
Negus McLean, who was a part of Dem Africans gang in Edmonton, was targeted in a ‘postcode war’ attack in 2011 after a member of rival gang Get Money Gang from Enfield was stabbed a week earlier.
Brandon Hamilton, 18, was given a minimum of 19 years; Bilal Lariba, 18, was sentenced to 16-and-a-half-years; Tershan Dos Santos Edwards,19, will serve a minimum of 17 years and 16-year-old Travis Bowman was given 12-and-a-half years.
All the suspects were considered equally responsible for Negus’ death. and were aged between 14-16 at the time of the murder.
