Krept and Konan have revealed that one of the main turning points of their career came with self-belief and will reveal their personal struggles in an intimate message video, that will be shot and directed by SB.TV.
The Numb (I Can’t Feel My Face) rap duo reveal they have been through a lot of life experiences, including homelessness and coping with personal losses.
They highlight these in a series of videos to be shown on SB.TV in a joint venture with NCS (National Citizen Service).
Rita Ora and SB.TV founder Jamal Edwards have already shot their videos for the campaign which are already available to view online.
Ed Sheeran, Adam Deacon and Wretch 32 are also expected to make guest appearances with specially recorded video messages in the future.
Speaking on the turning points in their career and how they sat down and decided to move forward in life, Konan said:
A personal thing happened in my life, which made me homeless, I lost all my belongings and materialistic things and lost my step dad.
It kind of turned everything upside down.
While Krept added:
We actually sat down and said are we still gonna do this music thing?
But when it came to self-belief, Konan stated that it boiled down to a matter of “now or never!”:
What it boiled down to was we’re gonna do this music thing fully. It’s now or never basically.
We had the self-belief of just doing it.
Don’t let anything stop you. Whatever you put your mind to, you can do. That’s how I see life. If you’ve got self-belief, no one can stop you.
