Pint-sized rapper Lil’ Kim will perform at this year’s Lovebox festival, which will be her first London gig since 2001 and is expected to perform some of her most iconic hits at the live event.
The rap icon will play on Sunday 21 July at London’s Victoria Park and has been tipped to perform fan favourites including No Time and Crush On You, as well as other songs from her previous studio albums.
Kim last performed in the UK when she headlined London’s Kentish Town Forum back in 2001, shortly after the release of her smash hit rendition of Lady Marmalade along with Christina Aguilera, Pink and Mya.
The weekend event will start on 19 July and will end on 21 July and will also feature performances from Azealia Banks, Plan B, Wiley and D’Angelo.
I wonder what Azealia has to say about this?
For those who don’t know, Azealia had gotten into one of her famous online altercations with Kim, over a dispute about a collaboration she had been cooking up for the rapper. Azealia claimed that Kim’s camp cut off all forms of communication when Azealia had reached out to submit the track.
Kim had then stated in a radio interview with Power 105’s Breakfast club that she had never even spoken to Azealia before, so I’m sure the two will have a few words to say to each other when they’re within the same radius.
I guess we’ll have to see what goes down on the weekend of the event, I’ll definitely have my eyes peeled on Azealia’s most valuable weapon, her Twitter page!
