Christopher Gabriel, 25, and another 25-year-old accomplice who can not be named for legal reasons, have been sentenced to a minimum of 30 years each for the killing of 18-year-old Nana Darko-Frempong.
Nana was shot dead near his house in a drive-by shooting in Tulse Hill in 2011 by Gabriel and his accomplice – who are members of south London gang Roadside Gs.
The two killers believed that Nana was a member of rival gang Trust No One, or TN1, simply because he was walking in the area that the gang usually were.
The judge at the Old Bailey described the killing as a case of “being at the wrong place at the wrong time”.
22-year-old Romario Henry and two other men who cannot be named were sentenced to eight years imprisonment for perverting the court of justice.
