Speaking to the Daily Star, Dizzee Rascal has revealed that he would want to work with Sir Tom Jones in the future, describing the 73-year-old crooner as the “original gangsta”.

Talking about his upcoming album, The Fifth, Dizzee discussed the collaborations featured on the record:

Tom Jones is the original gangsta so one day I’ll get him.

I was just lucky other people’s schedules meant they could do it.

I’m blessed to have Robbie Williams, Tinie Tempah and Sean Kingston on there.

He also answered to some of the criticism he’s gotten over the years, regarding the change in his sound and his move away from the grime scene:

Some people will never let the grime thing go, but my fifth album is not meant to sound like my first album.

You can’t have an album containing all the same things.

Dizzee Rascal’s latest album, The Fifth, comes out on 1 July.
