Emma West, the 34-year-old mother who was filmed shouting racially aggravated abuse in a video posted in November 2011, has finally pleaded guilty to racially aggravated section 5 public order offence – using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, or disorderly behaviour that is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

She was initially charged with a racially aggravated section 4 offence which is a higher charge to the offence she has actually plead guilty to.

West was charged days after the release of the video which went viral, and she has since also admitted to stabbing her current partner Ricky Meston and assaulting a police officer.

She will be sentenced for all three crimes on 24 June at Croydon Crown Court.
