In what is probably one of the most disturbing stories I’ve heard in a while, a 15-year-old boy has been sentenced for raping a 13-year-old boy because “he didn’t have a good phone.”
The attacker was only 14 years old when he committed the crime.
The attack occurred in Yellow Brick Estate, Peckham, on 16 January this year, while the victim was on his way home from school.
His teenage attacker had intended to rob him, but then said he deserved to be raped as his phone was not good enough. He also said he wanted to scar him for life.
Taking him to the stairs of the top floor of the block of flats, the offender told the victim to “do it like a girl” and made the victim remove his boxers.
The mum of the victim has said that the attack has totally affected her family, with her son going from “bubbly and lively” to “shy and withdrawn.”
The 15-year-old has been sentenced to four years in a young offenders’ institute.
Stories like this really make me worry about the world we’re living in.
