A 15-year-old teenage boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will be in court for sentencing today for the killing of 17-year-old Dogan Ismail over a Blackberry phone.

Dogan and his brother went to meet up with the killer at Aylesbury Estate in south London, to retrieve the phone which had been stolen from his younger brother Orhan two days before.

After an altercation between the two, the killer went to get a knife from his house, returning to attack Dogan. Dogan died from a single stab wound to the heart, and despite paramedics’ efforts to save him, the 17-year-old died at the scene.

The killer plead guilty to manslaughter and theft in January but has since been found guilty of murder by a jury at the Old Bailey.
