Dawda Jallow,15, from Peckham, has been jailed for a minimum of 13 years for the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Dogan Ismail over a stolen Blackberry phone.
In December 2012, Dogan went to meet Jallow at Aylesbury Estate to retrieve his brother’s phone which had been stolen two days previously. The two got into an altercation, during which Jallow went back to his flat to get a knife to stab Dogan with.
Judge Christopher Moss QC said:
You came deliberately to your victim armed with a knife and I’m sure you always intended to use it on him by the force and ferocity of the stabbing and the fact that you made yourself scarce.
Jallow initally plead guilty to manslaughter and theft but was found guilty of murder.
