One of the men arrested by Greek police and taken to court in connection with the fatal stabbing of Tyrell Matthews-Burton in Malia has been identified as radio DJ, Tyler Mason.

Mason, who goes by the name of TeeWhy, DJs and presents for Reprezent Radio, which is based in Peckham, south London, and according to his Twitter page, is currently holidaying in Malia.

In his last tweet, which was sent on 22 July, Mason shares a picture of himself and a friend on the Malia strip.

And in the holiday snap, he can be seen wearing the same purple watch as he does in the photo of him in Greek handcuffs.

Mason who hosts the Lunch w/ Tyler show and Fly Time show, has been with Reprezent Radio for four years.

And just days before, he tweeted saying that he had met Tim Westwood at the holiday resort, a sheer coincidence as Westwood was one of the people to tweet his condolences upon hearing the news of Tyrell’s death.

According to Mason’s tweet, his holiday was only meant to be a short break, as on 19 July he sent the message to his followers saying he’d be back in just 10 days:

At this early stage the precise reason for Mason’s arrest is unclear and we do not know whether he will be charged.

However, being arrested in a foreign country in connection with a murder will present Mason, and the other men, with challenges the rest of us dare not even think of.
