A number of British tourists have been taken to the Greek courts today in connection with the fatal stabbing of 19-year-old Tyrell Matthews-Burton.
The victim from London was stabbed in the chest and back after a fight broke out outside the Safari Club on the popular resort. There are believed to be about 30 people who were involved in the brawl, 17 of which have been arrested.
The coroner on the case described the killing as an “execution” as Tyrell was held down by his attacker. He was said to have lost nearly half of his blood and died within minutes from his injuries.
The men will face the prosecutor at Heralkion Court in Crete today. A 19-year-old was among those arrested and is believed to be the one who was carrying the knife.
The case continues.
