Megaman and Harvey of So Solid Crew were initially under the impression that their upcoming performance at Lovebox festival this Saturday had been cancelled because of another artist.
They have both since revealed that this is not the case. However, the actual reason still isn’t clear:
Just been in touch with @love_box "it is not an artists fault" we won't be attending Saturday, we will be sending out an accurate statement

Thankyou @lovebox_mama for you support we know this is out of your hands. Very disappointed we couldn't give you guys a good show
Unfortunately the sudden cut of an urban artist from a mainstream event or venue is way too common; it was only last week that K Koke learned he wouldn’t be taking part in Wireless festival.
Following the stabbing at last weekend’s Wireless festival during Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake’s performance, we can’t help but realise that there seems to be a link to the presence of certain urban artists and a fear of violence at popular events. It’s no coincidence that So Solid’s songs (like K Koke’s) aren’t full of lighthearted pop/Hip-Hop lyrics and I’m also noticing that both of these acts have criminal record pasts.
And whilst the reasons are still not explicit, I can’t help but wonder if the cancellation is due to some kind of last minute anxiety of the event organisers.
We’ll have to see how this turns out.
