Just before the second series of UK drama Top Boy returns to our TV screens, south London artists BEST|EVER have decided to pay homage to the series with graffiti artwork situated in Brick Lane.
Top Boy is set in east London and was written by Ronan Bennett, a Hackney resident, which explains the fitting location for the piece.
Taking two days to complete the five square metre art, the wall was used as an alternative means of advertising to generate excitement in the run-up to the second series.
Ashley Walters said of BEST|EVER’s creation:
London without graffiti would be like Paris without the Arc de Triomphe! What better way to promote the new series of Top Boy than this great piece of art situated in the area the show is set in. We’re back! Enjoy it!
Top Boy will return on Channel 4 on 20 August at 9pm.
