Despite being only 19, the main suspect in the stabbing of Tyrell Matthews-Burton has been moved to an adult jail in Crete with prisoners aged 21 and over.
This goes against the orders of the judge dealing with the case, who said that Myles Litchmore-Dunbar should be kept in holding cells as he awaits trial – which could be up to a year away.
Last week the family of Myles launched an appeal to find Tyrell’s real killers, stating that their son had been targeted by Greek police. They also began a fundraiser to help raise money for his bail, so that he could return to the UK and wait for his trial to begin here.
Two other 19-year-old men were arrested with Myles for their involvement in the brawl and have since returned to the UK, but are expected to go back to Greece once the trial begins.
