We all tuned in to watch Channel 4’s documentary My Crazy New Jamaican Life on Thursday night. Most of us loved it, some of us hated it, but I think we can all agree that it was entertaining and at times even educational.
Like seriously guys, I know I’m not the only one who picked up a thing or two from the controversial documentary. So here are five things I learnt from My Crazy New Jamaican Life.
Chat-up lines, compliments and Jamaicans? Yh, that’s definitely their specialty.
Vanessa Van-Yeboah, the producer of the film, should consider starting up a dating agency. Holly and Odean have probably made more than a track together by now!
Wearing a prom dress to a bashment rave is apparently acceptable.
4. CH4 broadcast the most amazing docs ever. I mean where else are you going to get side-chicks, yardies and Shola Ama’s voice on one show? Channel 5’s docs about kids with three heads and women with no faces are so overrated.
You can have black hair one second, then pink hair the next. Does being a Jamaican man’s baby mama make you a magician too? Work on your continuity Channel 4.
We’re still hoping that My Crazy New Jamaican Life gets turned into a series, even if they tease us Top Boy style, with only four episodes.
