DJ Jigs, who was a DJ on Choice FM for 24 years and managed to survive the major line-up changes that the radio station had since changing to Capital Xtra, announced his departure on his Twitter today.

A number of much-loved and long serving DJs were cut from Choice FM during their rebranding, with Jigs keeping his spot with a weekend show at 6am to 10am.

However, on the second day of Capital Xtra’s existence, Jigs wrote on his Twitter:

Well, this could be a little bit awkward. I wonder if the bosses are desperately searching for a replacement right now.

Will anyone else follow Jigs’ lead and jump ship?
