Every time Sarah Jane Crawford steps out to a public event, after I’ve finished envying her outfit, I’m often left wondering just how she gets her typical red lip nude eyes look.

International celebrity make up artist Pauline Briscoe, who made the MOBO host up on Saturday night, explained how she put the radio presenter’s look together:

To get Sarah Jane Crawford’s Mobo Awards Look. I firstly primed her skin with Laura Mercier’s liquid Primer.

Next I applied MAC’s NW40 liquid fluid foundation and used MAC’s Mineralise Concealer around the eyes and nose in NC42 and set with Bobbi Brown Golden Orange loose powder.

For a sophisticated look I contoured Sarah’s cheeks with ‘Shadowy’ and applied ‘Peaches’ on the apples of her cheeks for a rosy look. To keep Sarah’s skin tone warm I applied ‘Matte Bronze’ and ‘Refined Golden’ bronzers which have flecks of shimmer (MAC).

After breaking down how she gets Sarah’s skin to look clear, flawless and camera-ready, Pauline told us how she made Sarah’s eye pop with a neutral look:

Next I doubled up and applied a pair of MAC no.35 lashes and sealed them with lashings of black mascara. Sarah loves double lashes for a glam look. I gave her eyebrows a strong shape by applying Spiked Eyebrow Pencil by MAC.

And, telling us what we were all desperate to know, Pauline explained how she gave Sarah Jane her staple red lip, which she can be seen rocking to almost every event:

Finally for Sarah’s signature look I applied a lip balm to her lips for moisture and staying power and lined them with Redd, then filled them in with her favourite lip colour Ruby Woo both by MAC.

So that’s how she does it! Now we can all try to recreate the look and become copies of Sarah Jane Crawford.
