Nigeria celebrated it’s 53rd independence with a concert and club night at Indigo2 on Friday 4 October, with a line-up consisting of Weray Ent, May7ven, Honey B and many more.
A host of DJs – including DJ Abrantee – and dancers provided musical intervals for the night and got the crowd in the party mood and ready to rave until 4am.
Ada Snoop was the first to perform, taking to the stage in an eye-catching green and white outfit, representative of the colours of the Nigerian flag.
She was followed by Weray Ent who were jumping around on and off the stage and gave an especially energetic performance of their biggest hits , including the collaborative song with Vibe Squad, Masquerade, who unfortunately weren’t there to join in on the mad fun.
Up/Down singer Honey B was there as well, and drew attention to her figure as she wore a spiked gold jumpsuit which literally had the men in the audience begging for her set not to end.
Towards the end of the night, DJ Abrantee finally approached the stage to do what he does best and deliver the best songs that the afrobeats scene has to offer and get the crowd hype. The Ghanaian DJ paid homage to his Nigerian neighbours for the evening, also opting for the Nigerian flag colours with his clothing, topped off with a pair of green and white NIke Air Max trainers.
His short set was followed by a performance from his fiancee May7ven, who wore a traditional gele over her signature white hair and sang her Ten Ten hit along with many others.
