A teenager was shot and stabbed at his home in Plaistow in an attack the police believe is a case of ‘mistaken identity’.
The 15-year-old was at his home in Plaistow on Friday night, when five armed men wearing balaclavas broke in waking him and his family. They stabbed the boy and shot him in the leg.
The victim was taken to hospital but did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.
The teenager is not believed to have any gang links. And police believe that the attack was intended for the former resident or someone who was staying at the house.
Police are currently investigating and no arrests have been made.
The victim has been named as Kieran Obazee, and he remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition. He was stabbed six times and shot.
Out of the five attackers, a 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
