The man who was killed during a police chase on Tuesday afternoon has been named as 20-year-old Devante Keane from Essex.
Devante was hit by a train after he tried to flee police who attempted to search him because they suspected that he was in possession of drugs. He was stopped on Christchurch Road, and he escaped, causing a 40 minute chase to take place involving dozens of officers, police dogs and helicopters.
Devante took a number of alternative routes trying to escape the police; jumping into gardens and bushes before eventually coming to a rail crossing.
He was hit by a Chiltern Railways train and pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem was carried out yesterday and the Independent Police Complaints Commission have decided not to investigate.
