There’s a well known phrase that goes ‘It’s not over until the fat lady sings.’ Well, actually at Ms Curvaceous it’s not started until the fat lady sings.
The Ms Curvaceous beauty pageant took place at the Camden Centre in London on Sunday 24 November celebrating the beauty, creativity and sexuality of our most beautiful sisters.
Judges included plus-size model Saffi Karina, the CEO of Evolve mag, Rianne Ward and body confidence coach, Lea Sharks.
20 beautiful women took to the stage to battle it out and win the title of Ms Curvaceous 2013.
Ms Curvaceous is a modelling competition for curvy models, and aims to showcase the talents and skills of these ladies, by giving them opportunities to be seen by professionals in the industry.
Clothes from designers such as Dea London were worn by the stunning models, who worked the runaway in front of an audience, cheering them on.
The event was hosted by Remel London and Claira Hermet, who had the audience in stitches with their constant banter.
The Beautiful Elia Johnson won the title of Ms Curvaceous UK 2013, telling the audience that our size doesn’t matter because we’re all beautiful. Thanks girl!
She walked away with a cash prize, an exclusive feature in Evolve magazine, an audience with Hughes Modelling agency, VIP entrance to Miami Bass Slam worth £700 and a fabulous hamper courtesy of ORS.
Performers included Afrobeats singer Ezi Emela, former BGT star James Anderson and Bashy.
J2k, beauty vlogger Gracie (of Ugly Face of Beauty fame), and Krept and Konan’s DJ, Docta Cosmic. all attended the popular show.
