Hip Hop fans flocked to the Hammersmith Apollo on 2 November to see US stars such as Busta Rhymes, Method Man and Redman take to the stage.
The crowd was full of durag wearing and “I saved this outfit from the 90’s” fans who jumped up and down to both old and new songs from the rappers.
Red and Mef were the first main acts to perform, rapping tracks such as A-Yo and Da Rockwilder. They took us back to 1994, when Wu Tang Clan were at their peak, performing M.E.T.H.O.D. Man.
Then they had me feeling like I was in Battersea dogs home, by getting the males in the crowd barking like wild animals before performing Da Goodness.
And as if we don’t get rained on enough in London, Redman thought it would be funny to spray the crowd with water every time he felt like it.
Their performance was followed by a quick DJ set from 1Xtra’s Ace, before the man we’d all been waiting for walked onto the stage like a champ.
Busta Rhymes performed many of his much loved tracks like Ante Up, Make it Clap, Dangerous and even rapped Look at Me Now.
The 41-year-old hyped the crowd up when he performed Twerk it, wearing a jewellery store’s worth of necklaces around his neck.
Support acts included UK rapper Clencha, Mr Benz and Lady Leshurr.
