It might be that he’s feeling the Christmas spirit, or maybe he’s turning a new leaf for 2014, but after publicly calling BBC Radio One “cocksuckers” for not playlisting his latest single, the Dizzee Rascal has eaten his words with an equally public half-apology.

“It’s not a good time for urban artists”? That sounds like a lame excuse.

However, Dizzee found it in his heart to spread the festive love and forgive Radio One and their poor excuse by accepting that he won’t always get what he wants because… well, in life sometimes you just don’t.

I don’t know what’s brought on Dizzee’s sudden apology but it looks like he’d rather be the ‘bigger person’ than find himself blacklisted from all future BBC-related events.

Smart move.
