Idris Elba was in Finland shooting BBC documentary Idris Elba: King of Speed, when the vehicle he was driving overturned on an off-road rally circuit.
Fortunately for us, he survived to tell the tale and vowed never to scare us like that again. The Mandela actor told the Sun:
I never want to do that again. It’s the first time that I have ever rolled a car. I wasn’t going fast, the car just had a mind of its own when it hit the bank. I cut the corner and then we rolled.
Don’t be injuring yourself Idris, we still haven’t done all the filthy things we need to do to you.
The two-part documentary, Idris Elba: King of Speed will be broadcast on BBC Two on Boxing Day and Friday 27 December.
