Naomi Campbell joined thousand of mourners in South Africa’s capital Pretoria on Wednesday morning, to pay her final respects to Nelson Mandela.
She was one of the many celebs who filed past Mandela’s coffin, as he lays in state for three days.
The supermodel wept as his body was taken to the government’s Union Buildings.
Naomi supports the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, for which she organised a benefit Versace fashion show in 1998 and has been described by Mandela as a granddaughter.
Crowds of people were apparently turned away as organisers didn’t expect the massive turnout. Hundreds of thousands of mourners are expected to view Mandela’s open casket over the next three days, with the government anticipating about 2,000 people an hour.
Madiba will be buried in his childhood village on Sunday.
