We don’t know why girls kick up such as fuss about being taken to Nando’s, I mean is eating chicken and chips while listening to Latin American music really that bad?
Well one student thinks so.
Melissa McKenzie sold a kiss-and-tell story to The Sun, after Manchester United footballer Adnan Januzaj took her on a date to Nando’s, wearing a tracksuit, and made her pay for parking after she picked him up from a street corner.
The 25-year-old was furious and blasted the Premiership star who’s on a £1.5 million-a-year contract (or £30k-a-week, if you prefer The Sun’s barrow-boy weekly payslip parlance). She said in an interview with the Sun,
I’ve never met anyone so stingy in my life. I was so excited for the first date.
We met on a social network site and I got all dressed up and even got my make-up done – costing me £30.
I expected him to come to me in a flashy car, but I ended up driving him about in my old blue Fiesta and I was left to pay and display. Then he said he was taking me to Nando’s – my face fell.
Can you imagine the look on her face? Melissa added that she never expected to be taken to a place where they would have to dine around commoners, especially when she got so dressed up.
I usually go there for a quick bite to eat with my mates. I didn’t expect to be going there on a date with a Man United footballer, especially in my dress and heels.
Adnan spent £18 on the food before taking his gold-digging date to a three-star hotel (hahaha), where the pair
had sex watched The X Factor.
Melissa claims she was asked to drive the 18-year-old home and ultimately got none of his money.
Poor girl. But we’re sure the money she made selling her story to The Sun will cover the parking fees.
