Michael Adebolajo, one of the men found guilty of murdering Fusilier Lee Rigby, has lodged an application to appeal against his conviction.
Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale ran Lee Rigby down in a car last year, before hacking him to death with a meat cleaver and knives in a terrifying attack. They left his body in the middle of the road near Woolwich Barracks before being shot by police.
Both men were found guilty at the Old Bailey last month with The Hon. Mr Justice Sweeney saying he will pass sentence after a key appeal court ruling on the use of whole life terms in January.
