Rudimental may have a little surprise for us at this year’s Brit Awards, after the musicians teased that they may be collaborating with One Direction at the show.
The collective from Hackney are up for three awards at this year’s Brits, including British Single for Waiting All Night, Best British Group and British Album of the Year for their debut Home. Speaking to the Daily Star at the Brits nominations launch, Rudimental’s DJ Locksmith said:
We can’t give too much away but there will be some surprises. I’ve always wanted to work with One Direction. They’ve come to a couple of our shows so I’d like to repay them.
This week the band also confirmed plans to unveil a new collaboration with Ed Sheeran. They have recorded a number of tracks and may doing a live performance with the ginger haired star next month.
We’ve got some music coming out with Ed. It’s wicked, we’re playing as a live band, we’re playing fully live on that track. Well there’s four tracks. It’s pretty exciting, Ed’s playing guitar, singing [and] there’s also a certain rapper on there!
