Emma Keeble’s bloodied face after the attack

A teenage girl was stabbed in the face and another had her head bashed into a fence, after they called a 19-year-boy Harry Potter.

The real Harry Potter

Apart from wearing glasses, being white and having dark hair, Ryan Walker looks nothing like Harry Potter. But the bullied teen became so enraged at the girls’ remarks that he snapped.

Ryan Walker was not happy after being compared to Harry Potter

Ryan told the courts how he attacked the girls after being repeatedly goaded by them in Southampton last year. Victims Emma Keeble, 15, and 16-year-old Leah Pearce, were sitting on the stairs to Ryan’s home when he walked pass and was told he looks like the JK Rowling character.

Ryan initially ignored the teens, then came back downstairs with a milk bottle full of water and threw it over them. He then went back into his flat, came back out with a vegetable knife before walking to a local park, knowing Emma and Leah would follow him.

That’s when Ryan saw red, stabbing Leah in the face, and knocking Emma to the floor with a series of punches and kicks, before smashing her head against a fence, shouting “die, die”. Not something Harry Potter would do…

He pleaded guilty to wounding with intent, attempting wounding with intent and possessing a bladed article and has been jailed for four and a half years.
