Jennifer Hudson was one of the many stars who took part in the UK’s first We Day event at the Wembley Arena on 7 March.

The event is an initiative of Free The Children, and brought together 12,000 young people to lead global change and celebrate the difference they are making in their local communities.

The US star made time for her fans as she signed autographs and took a few selfies, before heading into the venue to sing her heart out.

Unsurprisingly, she gave a stunning performance and had the audience moved to tears while singing a tribute track for Mandela called Bleed For Love.

The 32-year-old wore a Dolce & Gabbana polka dot silk trumpet skirt featuring a feminine pencil silhouette, high-banded waist, and flared hem.

She teamed her outfit with a simple white t-shirt and swapped her sexy red stilettos for more performance friendly black heels, when she took to the stage.

Dizzee Rascal also performed during the event, putting on a super energetic performance that almost had the crowd thinking they were in Ibiza.

The east London rapper performed his popular track Love this Town, and as you can tell by the picture, a whole lot of excitement was happening on that stage.

The adult lyrics were softened for the audience of children and teens, as the word ‘freaking’ instead of ‘fucking’ was used in the chorus. (Yes we noticed)

Ellie Goulding closed the show singing Burn and Anything Can Happen, with a little help from the London Youth Choir.
