After a cancellation of February’s event, where Fat Joe, Ja Rule and Twista were on the bill, Musicalize have bounced back and didn’t disappoint, with a lively show featuring Ryan Leslie and August Alsina.

The event took place at IndigO2 on 9 March, with Angel opening for the US stars. He wore an on trend hat with black shorts, and some chains dangling around his neck. The west London singer performed Ride Out and Wonderful to the eager crowd.

August Alsina took to the stage next, and had clearly been checking the weather forecast as he was appropriately dressed in a massive parka jacket.

Now, if you don’t know about August Alsina and the effect he has on women, you wouldn’t have brought ear plugs like we did, to block out the orgasmic screams. And when the 21-year-old told the crowd he didn’t have a girlfriend, you could see the security guards preparing for a stampede.

Performing hits like Ghetto, Make it Home and Love This Shit, August proved that he’s not just a pretty face and we would gladly welcome him at future Musicalize shows.

Ending the show was Ryan Leslie. The Black Mozart. The multi-talented singer, songwriter and producer, who has worked with all your favourite artists.

Supported by a live band, Ryan brought a different vibe to the show. Jumping between the keyboard and the crowd he seduced with his stunning vocals, the talented singer performed Addiction and Diamond Girl.
